My fantastic neighbor is the most amazing person, and especially, the most amazing jewelry artist. She spends part of the year living in India learning the old traditions of making gold chains - yes! That is right - BEFORE machines people made gold chains by hand. And she designs spectatular and unique pieces of jewelry art. These photos are hers from her Facebook page and not mine - but it shows her enjoying a long work day in India with her teacher and just a couple examples of her work. I highly reccommend checking out her work if you are in the need of jewelry for a gift, for yourself or for a special event (hint. hint. wedding ideas).
I was a lucky lady for Mother's Day this year. My family had Samia and her husband over for dinner and in a cute little box with a neatly tied bow was a beautiful necklace made by her. As I blog- the necklace is on and I don't think it will come off for a very long time. Thank you Samia for such a lovely gift. Your designs make me smile. I love living around such creative people.
